We use DBM because as many players we all started with this addon, we are basically 3 raid leaders, but I am the only one using Bigwigs, why?
Ok DBM provide us with warnings and sounds that we already know and my Big wigs we use it for whisper warnings, when people need to move away from fire, or when people need to stay in place to not to wipe the raid, etc...

As all boss mods give you a lot of messages and Alerts most of the people are focused on dps or heal or tank and sometimes they MISS the NORMAL warning and a WHISPER warning is WAY OVER visible than any other warning, so this way we improve the warnings for all raid members and there is more chance for all to know what they need to do

Do you know if DXE has a whisper warning system? because I think the arrow stuff will help A LOT! if DXE has no whisper warning then I think I can tell my raid to switch from DBM to DXE and I will stay with BigWigs

Any suggestion?

I changed to DXE from DBM. Because our raidleader highly recommended it so I wanted to try it out. The first time I tested it was in a ToC 25 man run. Imagine the horror and chaos ;) Specially as one of the sound warnings (by default) was excatly the same sound I normally get when Im on low health. Being a tank and constantly hear a sound that usually tells you youre about to die was really getting my stressmeter high. The little spoing spoing sound also confused me greatly.

But now that I've tried it out for almost a month I am very satisfied with it. You can customize almost anything, the arrows are a great help and I like that I can minize the amount of bars/warnings to a level that satisfies me.

I'm not much into PvP, but whenever I need to farm honor for some reason, all I need is Capping.

This looks awesome, but I am pretty tied to DBM's notifications for BGs (graveyard timers, tower timers, etc). Do you know if there's another mod for this, or a way to run DBM for PVP and DVE for raids without being a complete memory hog?

There is an option to enable an additional output for your warning messages, this can be the raid channel or raid warning. It will also mark people with raid marks, when they are under an important harmful spell. As well as /say if you have a debuff people near you should know about.

I absolutely don't like bossmods broadcasting into my raidchannel though. I have DXE configured to block out unnecessary raidwarning from other bossmods. Honestly, the only reason to broadcast raid warnings is if you're raiding with people who raid without a bossmod. If someone is raiding with a bossmod but keeps reading the raidchat all the time, he's probably not very good at reading and following his own bossmod. Some people might find raidwarnings useful, but all bossmods produce warnings on their own, so I don't really see the point of that one either.

I have actually never thought about the Snobolds, because Gridstatusraiddebuff shows me people with cobolds so I don't really need that information. Of course when leading a raid it really helps to remind people of focusing on snobolds/walking into melee range with their snobold.

The proximity window will pop up on its own if you have a recent version of the addon. You can bring it up by yourself if you click on the icon on the very right of your control panel.

I tried DXE in both Naxx and ToC and found that it's good, but as leader doesn't really give you enough information to assist with leading, especially as a tank. For example on Northrend Beasts there is no information who currently has snobolds, which made it very hard to call that out.

Also, to this day I haven't figured out how you get the proximity pane. But everyone seems to love it so I'll give it another shot in ToC tomorrow. Snobold people just will have to pay attention on their own.

Do you know if it broadcasts to the raid, yes, no?
